Are you a stay-at-home or a working Mum?
I’m a stay at home Mummy. I care for my son Riley who was diagnosed severely autistic on the 17th June 2015.
Would you have it any other way?
Absolutely no way! I love my babies more than anything and the fact I get the opportunity to spend every single day watching them both develop and grow is truly amazing.
My Newborn must-have?
This is a toughie. I’m so easy going now. When I had Riley (my first baby) my ‘must-have’ was basically everything ‘just in case’ but now I am more confident and don’t think you need a lot when it comes to a newborn. Unless you meant my ‘must-have’ which would of course be SLEEP! Haha.
How many kids do you plan on having?
I always dreamed I’d have twins. I thought 2 sets of twins (boy and girl) and I’d be sorted. I have a 3 year old son Riley and a 2 year old girl Summer. Although I think I have the ‘perfect’ combination I always crave more!
Date Night – How often?
Never, single! 🙁
What’s your child’s favourite TV show?
Riley is addicted to the channel ‘Baby TV’ whether it’s on his iPad or TV. Summer loves Bubble Guppies and Peppa Pig.
What’s one thing you bought for your newborn and never used?
Clothes! I think that goes without saying with most new parents *hands over eyes*
Child’s favourite food?
Ooh this is tricky. The kids don’t really have a favourite food. Riley has a massive sensory disorder and therefore I can only cook ‘finger foods’ which is a bummer at times!
How many cars does your family have?
One, I have a Nissan Quashquai 2016 plate in metallic grey, absolutely love it!
Weight Gain – Before, During and After Pregnancy?
Before I was pregnant I weighted 9 stone. It didn’t seem to matter what I ate I would always stay around this weight. After my 2nd pregnancy I weighed 12 and half stone! I’ve been dieting since November 15 and I’m currently down to 10 stone but I have a further 2 stone to loose.
What’s your dream family holiday?
Disney World America, California, Grand Canyon, Vegas, swimming with dolphins in San Diego. I did this round trip when I was much smaller with my family and would love to do it again with my own little family.
What’s your dream holiday without the kids?
Anywhere near to home ‘just in case’, hot, clean and all inclusive!
How has life changed since having kids?
When I was younger and found ‘the one’ I thought all that was left to complete the perfect picture was a family. However it wasn’t until my first born arrived. I realised I hadn’t even begun living my life. My children are my world and everything I do is for them. I have massively changed as a person since having my kiddies.
Finish the sentence – It makes my heart melt when…
When I watch my children sleeping. They’re so sweet and innocent and have no idea about the cruel world out there they will have to face one day!
Where do I shop for my kids?
Anywhere really, I’m not that fussy. Charity shops, Ashford designer outlet, H&M, Matalan, Asda. I have a bit of a nose and if I like something I will tend to buy it.
What’s your favourite makeup and skincare?
I only use baby lotion on my face (green bottle) St Ives facial wash. I rarely wear make up but I’ll go with No7.
Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers without a shadow of a doubt. I always thought they were great and I used them right up until Riley could no longer fit into them. We are now using Tesco’s own brand as they slightly bigger offering Riley more room.
Have you always wanted kids?
Yes, I knew when I was young that it was my destiny to be a Mother. I felt like the black sheep in my family and always yearned for my own small family. Something no one could take away from me.
Best thing about being a Mum?
Where do I even begin? Everything! I love being a Mum! It’s crazy that I have not only grown these little beauties in my belly and given birth to them but I am nurturing them both everyday preparing them for the big wide world.
