Last night I invited 5 of my buddies round including my Mummy for a glass of Asti, some nibbles and…wait for it… a European quiz night as part of the campaign I’m working on! The idea…to raise awareness of this fantastic holiday home company learning what they have on offer whilst having a bit of fun at the same time.
Needless to say I was nervous, but later gained everyone was a bit anxious as our geography skills were a little on the rusty side!
After a glass or 2…or maybe 3! I loaded the presentation onto my laptop. I stupidly thought it was going to be a mini video and we’d all sit back and watch. As a bit of an ice breaker we went around the room taking it in turns to read out a slide to get everyone involved and on their toes. I could see brains acting like mini sponges trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. There were many eager eyes on the main prize!
I’d finished the presentation and explained the rules and we steadily completed a round at a time. 5 out of 6 Mums won 1 or more prizes (Sorry Helen!) The bonus questions added an extra element of competition but to be honest we were all as bad as one another.
By the end of the quiz everyone was a little shocked by how little we all knew. It was decided that almost everyone wanted to visit a destination in Europe and we all couldn’t believe how close to our door step these fantastic locations are.
Why is it we seem to pick exotic holidays, hours and hours away which are at a huge cost offering a not so flexible package? Novasol has made me realise I need and want to travel more of the world.
Fantastic evening, tricky questionnaire (for them not me, meh!) A real eye opener and I’ve set myself a new goal to travel more.
Ps – A special well done to Sharni for winning the main prize of a £20 gift card – You go girl!
